Dr. Larry D. Coble

Dr. Larry D. Coble is President and Managing Associate of On Track Press, Inc., former long-time Visiting Professor at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and former Executive Director of the Piedmont Triad Education Consortium. He is author of numerous books on leadership. In addition, Dr. Coble has developed or co-developed several leadership development assessments including the On Track 360 Principal and Executive Versions, created exclusively for school principals, assistant principals, superintendents, and other district leaders. Dr. Coble is a former Senior Program Associate at the Center for Creative Leadership. During his career, Coble served as superintendent of schools in four school districts, has been a teacher, assistant principal, and principal. A long-time leader of professional development in school districts where he served, Coble has for more than twenty-five years, worked with numerous leadership development programs at the local and national levels as a private consultant delivering multi-day leadership development programs and executive coaching. He taught at the university level, served as Director of the Collegium for the Advancement of Schools at the university, and worked with university partnerships. During his tenure as superintendent, Dr. Coble was recognized by Phi Delta Kappa with their award for Outstanding Leadership; by the American Association of School Administrators as a member of The Executive Educator 100, which recognizes the top 100 school administrators in the United States; and by the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Alliance for Arts Education School Administrator’s Award. On Track Press, Inc. works primarily with school superintendents, district-level leaders, principals, assistant principals, and teacher leaders.

Dr. Ann Davis

Dr. Ann W. Davis is a national leader in program design, content development, coaching, technology integration, and delivery of executive leadership development. Dr. Davis specializes in next generation personalized learning and one-to-one 24/7 mobile ubiquitous computing for PK-12 school districts. She is a strong community and social services professional skilled in school transformation through personalized learning with technology-infused curriculum, instruction, professional development and executive coaching, program evaluation, leadership development, data analysis, strategic planning, classroom walkthrough design & feedback, process analysis and alignment, curriculum development grant writing, conflict negotiation, political climate navigation and change leadership.

Dr. Davis’ background includes: Teacher, Assistant Principal, High School Principal, Department of Public Instruction High School Turnaround Portfolio Manager, Associate Superintendent, Executive Leadership Coach, Senior Consultant for the Friday Institute at North Carolina State University, Senior Support Executive Consultant for Pearson Education, North America. She has served as a Senior Program Associate for The Center of Excellence for Research, Teaching and Learning at Wake Forest University. She is a retired Clinical Associate Professor in the Educational Leadership and Cultural Foundations Department at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Dr. Davis is a researcher and well-published author. She currently works as a Senior Education Strategist for Framework Development Group located in Ashburn Virginia. In addition, she is the founder and president of Davis Consulting. Dr. Davis is nationally recognized as a past recipient of the North Carolina High School Principal of the Year award by the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP). She is author of the 1:1 digital implementation framework adapted by the USDOE.

Jamie Ponce M.Ed.

Jamie Ponce is a teacher, administrator, and writer. After graduating from the University of Iowa with a double major in English and Spanish she fell in love with teaching and later earned her Master of Arts in Teaching Bilingual Education from Rockford College in Illinois. She later completed her Master of Education in Instructional Leadership from Concordia University. Jamie has taught and led across K-12 education, including elementary bilingual Spanish and EL classroom teacher, Assistant Principal and Bilingual Director. Coaching and supporting teachers has been her passion area since leaving the classroom.

She has shared her background and expertise at many conferences and co-chaired a committee to bring ECET2 to the Chicagoland area. This unique conference was supported by the Gates Foundation and brought excellent teachers from across the metro area together to share their experiences and knowledge. She has written several blog pieces on bilingual education for the Teaching Channel. In 2017, her blog post The Far-Reaching Benefits of Co-Teaching for ELLs was awarded Top Community Blogger, Teacher’s Choice for Teacher Voice.

During the pandemic, her coaching work shifted to a virtual experience and she realized that teachers needed on-demand support for technology integration, leading her to co-author and develop Instructional Tech Coaches. It is a flexible, virtual, and interactive job-embedded coaching offering designed for educators using the Google Suite Applications. This project was written by practitioners for practitioners to give teachers what they need, when they need it. She currently resides in Denver, CO with her husband and 2 young sons. Carolina Gibbs M.Ed.

Carolina Gibbs is a teacher, administrator, graduate teaching instructor, education specialist and coach. Carolina is a second generation American of Cuban descent. Her family immigrated to Chicago as a result of her father's Major League Baseball career with the Chicago White Sox. Although Carolina was born in Chicago, Illinois, she did not speak English when she started school in kindergarten. Her early experiences with language continue to shape and drive her teaching and learning journey. She earned her undergraduate degree in Physical Education, with a minor in Spanish. She later went on to complete her Master of Education in Instructional Leadership with a concentration in ELL/Bilingual Education. Thereafter, she completed her Administration Certification at Loyola University Chicago.

Carolina has taught and lead across K-12 and higher education. This included teaching in bilingual education (Spanish) settings, District Administrator for ELL/Bilingual Services, Director of Curriculum and Instruction and finally serving as a principal for 10 years. Something that has been at the forefront of her career focus is building teacher capacity. Carolina has had the privilege of working with teacher leaders throughout her entire career. The focus of this work has been and still is to empower teacher teams to build coherence in schools. She continues to mentor and support teachers even today.

She has shared her background and expertise at many conferences and worked on a committee for the National Association of Elementary School Principals. She has won various awards such at the State of Illinois, Those Who Excel Award, District 62 Lighthouse Award, District 62 Community Partnership Award and Pearson Top Performer Award. She wrote and taught the graduate level ELL/Bilingual courses at Northern Illinois University and Loyola University Chicago. She continues to work as a lead educational specialist, in the past for Pearson/Savvas and now for Catapult Learning.

Concurrent with her administrative time, Carolina founded her educational consulting company which focuses on helping improve the implementation of their ELL and Bilingual Programs as well as working as a lead educational specialist and coach. Meghan Halkias M.Ed.

Meghan Halkias has been an educator since 2006. She graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in Speech Language Pathology and Elementary Education. After various elementary grades, she went back to school and got her Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with an English Language Endorsement from Concordia University in River Forest, Illinois.

Meghan enjoys being a Lifelong Learner. You are never too old to try something new! Meghan enjoys reading, traveling and trying new recipes Meghan is very excited to be the lead instructor for ITC and looks forward to working with other educators.
